PFA holds an irrefutable significance in social welfare on multiple grounds. Animal welfare and animal control directly impact environmental conservation and public health. PFA averts the immense public health hazard of rabies outbreaks by vaccinating street animals and pets in rural households. Animal abuse is often the initial manifestation of violence. If not condemned, it can steer the societal trends toward criminal or borderline psychopathic behavior that may threaten public security as well. PFA’s protests against cruelty inculcate positive values as compassion, tolerance and generosity in humanity. Being a small world, incidents indicating animal cruelty tarnish our reputation as a society and have far felt negative impacts even on our economy and tourism. The crusades against the perpetrators and the awareness campaigns create a positive morale that places our city in a favourable light.
The relentless efforts of PFA fall short when the requirement is beyond the organisational resources. PFA has no regular fund influx from any source inside or outside India. Though PFA stands in for the lack of a proper animal management system in government, no grants are allotted. Invest your CSR funds in PFA for a genuine cause. Funds being the only limiting factor, your support can be a real game-changer. Together, we can bring about a noticeable positive change and share the pride of taking our city ahead in terms of safety, public health, economy and social ambience.
Rabies infection and stray dog- human conflicts are escalating by the day in our city. The current state of affairs calls for continuous, systematic and result oriented execution of vaccination and ABC programs for stray dogs. Being capital intensive and resource dependent, a venture of that magnitude is beyond the local governmental bodies or NGOs. PFA has the plans and operational strategy, but not the means for execution. With a join effort, we can bid farewell to the rabies scares and ‘stray dog menace’.
PFA Animal Rescue Center is dependent on insufficient and fluctuating donations that keep us barely afloat. Finding finances to maintain the shelter is a major stumbling block in the way of expanding our services. The Center, our base for rescue and rehabilitation reflects on our cleaning up after the society as most of our inmates are discarded or relinquished animals. It is home to almost a hundred animals who have one thing in common. If not for the center, they would have been out on the streets living a life of misery, disrupting public life and spreading diseases. We quarantine sick animals and care for them without exposure risk to the public. The Rescue Center makes up for the lack of an animal hospital with in-patient facility and an established animal shelter in the city. Support our Rescue Center to help us serve our city and the animals better.
